What Is Conscious Connected Breathing?
CONSCIOUS
Often times many of us are unconscious of our breath. We do not give much thought at all to whether we breathe instinctively. In fact, often when we are stressed or panicked we stop breathing. In CCB, we focus on our breathing. It becomes a circular technique in which we allow the breath to move in an unrestricted , cyclical way taking in as much oxygen as possible. We are super oxygenating our bodies on a cellular level.
CONNECTED
Here we keep the flow of the breathing- inhaling and exhaling with no pauses or breaks in between, one continuous circular breath. This creates a bridge from the subconscious mind to the conscious mind and allows stored suppression to resurface. Often this is in the form of negatively repressed beliefs, emotions, memories, or energy blockages. As these arise into our conscious awareness, we then have the opportunity to relax into and accept whatever and however it is unfolding. This offers us the possibility for integration and healing at the cellular level quickly and effectively bringing expanded awareness on all levels: physical, emotional, and spiritual.
BREATHING
Relaxing and releasing the breath dissipates tension both in the body and the mind. We are trusting the wisdom of our body through our breath to know what needs to be released in that moment. This enables us to move toward the next step of our journey, creating resilience and freedom.
